Hi Robert,

Thanks for adding THE VISITOR to your reading list. It is hard SF with real science and realistic storyline. It features a dynamic female astronaut who finds something unexpected in low-Earth orbit. It goes on to change her life and the world. My first attempt at a female lead and was inspired by the last chapter of my MINDSLIP novel.

          Hope you enjoy it.

          Tony

@MrRobertLee The novels are not related, but the last chapter of MINDSLIP inspired one of the most important characters in THE VISITOR - not an ordinary character, I should add. The books can be read in any order.

THE VISITOR is more polished than MINDSLIP and I am currently sending it to agents and publishers. It has had several edits and I'm happy with it as it is now.

The current version of MINDSLIP on Wattpad is about to go through a considerable edit including some chapters being cut. However, many people reckon it doesn't need editing. The trouble is that professional publishers require much tighter writing these days.

MINDSLIP had been an idea I'd had about twenty years ago, then I wrote a short story which was the basis for chapter three as it currently stands. Writing MINDSLIP inspired me to write a female lead in THE VISITOR, so there was more than just the last chapter of MINDSLIP which provided the spark.

The basic story of MINDSLIP is that Betelgeuse turns supernova. The explosion is scene next Wednesday morning. The radiation, combined with a mass coronal ejection, affects every creature on Earth, causing minds to swap between individuals. The book tells of the chaos caused through the eyes of an astrophysicist and his family.

My other book, GREEN DOOR, is very rough and unedited at the moment. It is quite a short book. If you are interested in the process involved in taking a book from that state to publication it might be an idea to read it and follow me to find out about the changes as they are made.

            Hope that helps.

            Tony
