Hello fellow readers. So in addition to ‘Never Letting Go’, I’ve also started a separate TLOU fic that I’m currently only updating on AO3. The reason for this is because I’m not entirely sure how well received this fic will be on Wattpad.
It’s still in it’s early stages at the moment BUT is fairly dark in nature (not dead dove but still dark) Basically, it follows readers journey from outbreak day, how she meets Joel and then the 20 years after leading up to part 1. There will be A LOT of sensitive topics covered including (but not exclusive to) attempted suicide, toxic (perhaps slightly abusive) relationships, a shit tonne of mental health issues and more.
It’s angsty, will be smutty once I reach a certain point in the story (gotta love a tension filled slow burn) and will have you screaming into your screens at times.
So my question is, without trying to give too much away: For you guys not on AO3, Is there an interest in me uploading this fic onto Wattpad?

So not to spoil too much but there will be 2 separate endings to this story posted ❤️ The cover of the fic is more figurative as Joel sets out on his new mission but has to leave her behind in Jackson- Everything he’s doing, he’s doing for her ♥️
So I’ve finally decided to stop procrastinating on it and have actually started to type out the first chapter of the ‘Don’t Let Go’ sequel! Here’s to hoping I can have it finished and posted for the weekend ♥️
Little update on well, my updates- or lack of, I suppose :’) I appreciate I’ve been quiet the past month or so.
- So I’ve actually been re-writing the first half of DLG as I just wasn’t happy with the writing as I started uploading it onto AO3 (might make an interesting re-read) Arcs are all the same but just made it feel more authentic/ emotional. Currently just finishing up the re written version of chapter 44!
- Chapter 9 of the bullet is almost complete so I hope to have this posted over the weekend.
- The third one shot of my DLG extras collection is also very much underway and if not out over the weekend then by mid week next week!
- DLG sequel is still being drawn up, first 4/5 chapters are all planned out so once I finish the DLG re-write/ amendments, I shall get cracking!
So I know I said Don’t Let Go wouldn’t get a sequel and I was pretty adamant on that because I left it in a good place and couldn’t think of a good way to continue it… Well turns out that’s a bloody lie.
An entire plot line came to me at about 1am this morning (who needs sleep) and I instantly started bullet pointing ideas.
Anyway cut to now and chapter one and two have been fully thought out
I want this one to be a little more structured than DLG (this won’t be no 86 chap fic, ideally I want to keep it under 20) so I won’t be posting chapters until every last detail has been thought out but hopefully it shall be my new project for the incoming summer!
What I can confirm is that it will be set 10 years after DLG and there will be a big focus on Joel, Lily and Ellie’s relationship as father/ daughter. Ava will still be a character but due to the intended plot line, she won’t be around as much as she was in DLG.

The next chapter of Don’t Let Go is coming, I promise! I have such a vivid vision for this chapter and I want to do it justice. It’s just taking me a little while to nail down all the emotions!

‘The familiar click of the safety latch being undone from a firearm piqued his attention. The vermillion haze of lividity dissipating within and instant and morphing into something more sickening… debilitating fear. The metallic barrel of a revolver now pressed rigidly into her temple, war torn fingers anticipating the pull of the trigger as the piece of shit behind her ruffled her limp head whilst offering Joel an arched brow in challenge. Fight. Go on, I fucking dare you.’
Just a heads up that the next chapter of Don’t Let Go was published earlier on today. I’ve just been told that the notification for it didn’t come through- a known issue apparently! Anyway, I hope you enjoy ♥️
