It’s so funny how connected my Dad’s side of the family is to Filipino culture and how much pride we have for the Philippines. We are not Filipino. I know more about Filipino culture than any white culture ever.
I’m being forced to learn tagalog rn, I’m going to a hockey game for Filipino heritage night. I’m the third generation in my family to learn escrima. My dad wants me to get an international scholarship to a Filipino university.
At what point do I just become Filipino?
