I have decided to wait for feedback from my student beta reader before updating The Windtalker's Amulet further. The beginning needs work, and I want to talk to my beta reader about it first. Thanks for understanding.

Thank you for following me, everyone. I am working on revising the Wind Talker's Amulet, so I have decided to unpublish it and repost it with my updates. I'm not anticipating huge changes. I'm unpublishing it this weekend and starting my edits next week. The second book will be removed at that point. I'm hoping this will keep me motivated to update a chapter a day... We shall see if I can keep up the pace!

How would you pronounce the name Kiäna? See comment below for pronunciation. I only ask that you reply with your best guess first!
MrsSutliff
It is supposed to be pronounced Kai - eh - nah. I changed the spelling in my document, but I don't like the idea of going back through every single chapter to change her name, so I am keeping it as Kiäna here on Wattpad.

@HeideHunt Yes, I teach k-5 library in a public school. It is a lot of fun but very challenging! So I have a captive audience for this type of thing. \(^_^)/ I did put a pronunciation in the first chapter. I'll figure out how I'd like to do that for the physical chapter book.

@MrsSutliff Kee-eh-nah does sound pretty unique. Adding the pronunciation in the story would be helpful. Wow! So are you a teacher?

I realized yesterday that my book is actually done! I unpublished a few chapters that are actually going into book number two. So my middle grade fantasy, Circles of Ciridia, the Windtalker's Amulet, is now officially complete! (With a giant cliffhanger for book #2!~) https://www.wattpad.com/story/353115860-circles-of-ciridia-the-windtalker%27s-amulet

Cute story incoming: Something really fun happened today. My small family took a drive into the hills to a remote restaurant for dinner. While we were driving, I decided to tell my four-year-old boy about the ONC story I'm writing. (Which is for kids, of course!) When I got all caught up on where I am in drafting the story, he said, "And then what happened?" So I kept thinking of what could happen next and told him, in detail so it was like a little story telling experience. He kept asking me "And then what happened?" so I kept adding onto the story, coming up with some very creative things for the characters to do. I decided on the end of my story today! =D
And when we were sitting waiting for our food to come at the restaurant, I asked him what I should add to the story and he gave me some legitimately fun and great ideas for my story. Including some witches with spiders and flying monkeys and goblins with magic that makes claws on the prisons, plus sailing home from the adventure and stopping at the Uneven Man's island for some reason I will have to figure out. So now I have to figure out how the heroes can counter the claw prisons and why there is a ship in the goblin forest.
My son said "That's pretty great mom. Does it have pictures?" So I told him about how I am adding pictures to the story on Wattpad. "Oh cool. We're going to buy it right?" he said. >.< Too funny. It is an early reader chapter book for fantasy lovers. If you are intrigued, come check it out. You can read it to your kids!

@WezleyBrookz haha! I told my kid I wasn’t working on the story anymore for a while because I am getting distracted by another more personally important project and he cried. So I had to promise I’ll finish it soon.

@MrsSutliff This method of planning a story, telling to a friend, is actually in the elementary writing curriculum at my school. I've seen other authors talk up this method of separating the story from the writing too...!

Here's my precious little children's storybook if you want to check it out. More people are reading it than I first realized! Thanks for the support.

Unfortunately this is a really hard time for me to be reading. I've got two stories I'm trying to write, one for the ONC. So I'm super busy. Sorry! @esperanzadoves

Imagine my surprise to see my little children's storybook has made it to the next round of the ONC. Here is a chapter for you to celebrate. My, I am going to have to get very busy and catch up, because I am now very far behind.
