@WhyteRhose Lol, there's nothing to forgive, cause 60% of the time, that's me :P Did you end up finishing the story though? It kinda happened to me with STA. And then 2 months after that deadline, I finally finished it lol. That's why I try to give myself realistic and short-term deadlines now. Cause short term deadlines are easier to stick with, and therefore more realistic.

Nope, I havent queried yet, but I'm thinking of starting in a couple of years for Theoretically Speaking. I'll most likely be done with it at the end of this summer, so I'm giving myself a good year and a half to edit it before querying for it. I don't think it's as time consuming as the editing process. I think it's just a bit discouraging at one point, getting all these rejections.

You know what I love the most about Philosophy? You can include it in every single subject, cause you can philosophize about everything. And as long as you have a reason and just a bit of evidence to back you up, you can't be wrong.

@WhyteRhose Oh yeah, I'm the same way. The first page doesn't really count as reading the book for me, so I'm allowed to put it down :P

Even if I edit while writing, I still wanna go back, three chapters later, to edit. That's what's been happening to me. Once I reached chapter 4, I decided to go back and change a bunch of stuff. That took about 2 months because my family was moving during that time, and I was lazy. And then school started and I was swamped, so it took me a month just to finish one chapter. And after finishing that chapter, I decided to go back again and change the first few chapters, lol.

It IS easier to study something that you're interested in. That's why college, although it's hard as hell, is kind of worth it. I'm studying philosophy right now and I really love it. I have to write a lot of papers but I actually like writing about those topics, so it's not that bad. The only thing is that I need to find something else to double major in as a backup in case I don't get in law school. Sigh. I hate thinking about 5-10 years down the line. It's so depressing -_-

@WhyteRhose Haha, I totally understand life being hectic. Mine is finally calming down and I'm gonna enjoy it for the next 5 weeks before school starts again and things get all busy and tiring.

I wish I could write without editing anything. But then I just can't bring myself to leave something like that if I know it's not good. I'll just start obsessing over it so I just edit. And sometimes I spend so much time thinking about each individual chapter that I always come up with a way to make it better. Which is why it's taken me almost a whole year to write 10 chapters of one book.

Yay, I'm so glad you got to finish it. I hate reading a book and not being able to finish it (unless I absolutely despise the book, which even then, it still hasn't happened that I didn't finish it).

@WhyteRhose It's not working? That's so weird. I just checked and it worked :/ It took a while for it to show up when I first uploaded it though. Tell me if it still doesn't work.
Ooo, I just checked out that software and downloaded it. I'm gonna try it out.
For STA, I just wrote it all in one document. For TS, I've been working on each chapter separately, but then once I'm done, I also like to have the entire story in one document. I have a different folder for each of my stories. The one for TS is big because I have the actual story, and then I have all the separate chapters, and all the edited versions of these chapters (I don't like to erase anything in case I decide to go back and use it). Like right now, I rewrote chapter 8 of TS about 4 times and I have all 4 different documents :P
