I'm grieving my cat, and while I don't have the energy for anything much right now... starting the Unspoken rewrite is rather cathartic. I can write sadness and longing. Yes, I am aware that I now have myself working on multiple projects yet again.

I am working on next chapters for Kismet and Safe Harbor, but it might not be this weekend. As I mentioned before, my dog Gunther passed away in December. Currently my cat is very ill. We're working to figure out why and hopefully get him well, but that doesn't leave much room for imagination. I'm not writing when I'm this overwhelmed. I'm reading and disassociating to cope. All I ask for is patience and understand, and if possible... as many positive thoughts and vibes as you can spare for a cat named Harold.
So I started an Ersatz chapter a few days ago, but now it's too long... so it's going to be a short story. This is just a quick announcement for those who reached out to ask when I was posting another chapter for Safe Harbor or Kismet. I have been distracted by a side quest. I hope you like Christmas miracles in February. Needless to say, be on the look out...
You know what would be another good story. The Gemini twins but make them John and Marlena’s kids.
I hated the princess Gina and the Alex North story. The Gemini twins didn’t make sense to me. Now if they would have been John and Marlena’s that would have made sense because Stefano hated John so much.
@BeccaAnnMoore I tend to stick with the 80s and 90s for Jarlena. Anything after the wedding attempt where Roman returned is generally not my thing. Princess Gina, the Gemini Twins, Alex North... I hated all of it and I never want to revisit it. That being said, the Gemini Twins being Jarlena spawn would have actually made sense. Roman and Kate? Like WTF was that really? Trash.
I'm also taking suggestions for Ersatz chapter rewrites or new Ersatz chapters.

I totally agree!! They could have done so much more with her missing years. More kids with RoJohn. You have done that in one of your stories, which I love. It just makes sense she would have been pregnant when her plane "crashed". Ugh. The Gemini twins. Seriously, I hated that storyline. I would read and probably love anything you write to erase my mind of rhat storyline.
Hello all! I've got three new stories I'm slowly getting together. Currently they don't have titles, but as I get ideas I go add them to my plans. What I currently call them is rather generic; however I thought you might like a tease.
1. The Frozen Pregnancy Story (1991)
2. The Clones - 1995/2000
3. The Truth at the Anniversary Party - 1993 (another @WillTravel inspiration)
4. Roman/Diana/Marlena comes back (I started this one a while back, but hated how it was going so I took it down - I want to revisit the premise with some heavy edits).
Again, I am open to suggestions and ideas.
@Charcutere87 This is so well thought out and written, have you thought about writing it? It’s a serious question. I’m not sure I ever would because I am perpetually stuck between 82 and 97. Cue AuDHD . But your explanation is so thoughtful that I feel like you have genuine love for the idea, and it might be time for you to try your hand at writing.
@MsGoldie76 1999-2002 had John’s time/focus on Greta and Hope/Gina. During that timeframe (2000) Marlena says to John, “I know that look. Every time a friend of ours brings a new baby home, you get that look like you would like to have another one…” How about a story that mashes these together. It deals with a “dilemma” where post wedding/honeymoon Jarlena has to deal with their own pregnancy coupled with Greta and Father John history. Does John put Marlena first or trying to balance both? Eric is still smitten with Greta but Sami is still a hard sell. Belle and Brady have not been aged to teens. Then fast forward to a “here we go again” situation of finding Hope in the castle. The Jarlena rendezvous after emergency landing on the island, resulting in a surprise/High risk pregnancy. Hope and John’s past become a distraction this time. Couple that with a teenage Belle who is still sweet but mischievous. Brady is an awkward teen going through his own “boy issues” (but he isn’t nasty to Marlena like the show wrote him). Sami is a single mom still wanting to have a little fun. (Think last minute plans and requests to babysit. She’s appreciative but still hasn’t learned.) Carrie continues to be peacemaker and a buffer between Roman and the family. (Think the twins’ birthdays, holidays, being at the pub at the same time as Marlena, John, or both.)
Well, Monday (1/5) I'm back to work. Winter break is over, so chapters will take a little longer. Also, I haven't forgot about my other two stories, but I am IN LOVE with Kismet right now, and when my brain tells me to write it - I write it.
I am selfishly not happy for me, about you not having as much free time (but also extremely happy for you about this new adventure:)
And I am also in love with kismet, because it is just soooo different and so unique… so I am all for you being in love with it, and writing it faster :)
