I haven't been able to write in such a long time and as soon as I have 6 AP tests coming up in a week all I can do is write. Like, out of ALL the times I should've been writing, it has to be now. aaldkdjskskshss I hate my brain XD (Also I keep getting urges to learn Swahili and Arabic and Korean and sometimes Turkish and it's REALLY distracting when I'm trying to do my calc homework smh)
Also, thanks for 2k reads on ER! I have no idea when or why that happened, especially since I've been super inactive lately, but it means a lot <33

But if you ever get around to publishing it I'll definitely read it :DD Ohh that sounds fun! I've played badminton in my backyard with a friend a few times without getting within 6 feet and with excessive clorox wipes XD I really wanna drive over to my friends house and sit in my car 6 feet apart and talk lol

@MuffinExtract uGh honestly I would love to publish it someday bc I have almost 5k words of chapter outlines alone but I already have other fics going in and I can barely finish those We’ll see over the summer it’s a fanfic too sOo idk I also miss my friends so much we literally FaceTime to do work haha my family might picnic sometime soon with another family like six feet apart lol

Does anyone else get annoyed with how long typing takes?? Like, I have so much stuff in my brain but my fingers are so slowwww and it takes a bit of the fun out of it. My typing speed is somewhere between 80 and 110 wpm depending on how tired I am lol but it still seems painstakingly slow :(
I need a word document that connects directly to my brain. Text-to-speech doesn't work well enough. I need a thought-to-speech feature. :o

Was trying to type "blood rushing through my ears" but accidentally typed "blood rushing through my eyes" instead, which is certainly an interesting mental image smh
In the bright side, I've finally managed to come up with a plot that isn't just "FLUFF" so I'm feeling quite accomplished atm :D

@MuffinExtract I guess we both are on the same page for that one. Writing, for me, is sort of like solving linear equations? You have a vague idea in mind and you continue writing till you get a crystal clear picture of what you're on about.. Mystery, for me, is like factorisation of polynomials (the exact opposite of solving), so it's near-impossible for me to even think of a cool and original mystery/crime fiction plot. Haha :D (I was saying something more, but I realised I sounded stupid so I deleted an entire speech -_- )

5 weeks into quarantine and I've finally roped my brain into writing another story! Asldlfjfdksk
I'm refraining from uploading anything here yet because 1) it is a rough rough draft and there's barely even an idea and 2) I write extremely sporadically and wouldn't be able to keep a consistent schedule. (Embracing Rain was written quite inconsistently over the course of three months or so with an initial 40k trash draft that got edited up to 70k within 4 days lol I am a complete disaster.) Somehow it's ended up being about swimmers again. (Oops. Sorry not sorry. If my body won't let me swim irl I will do it though my characters instead :DD)
That being said, if anyone has nothing to do and is brave enough to look at my rough draft, some general proofreading/editing/feedback/ideas would be much appreciated!
Or if anyone just wants to talk, send me a DM! Not being able to talk to people for weeks on end is pretty rough, so feel free to reach out ^-^

@adhithios thank you <3333 but only after editing haha. I don't plan AT ALL when I write, so it's pretty much like I'm a reader of someone else's story as I type. Like, I'll make up a new character or plot point halfway through a sentence or surprise myself with a plot twist as I'm typing XDD so my rough drafts are always super unrefined

Sooo apparently M20 IB exams have been canceled???? Alskddjfksksls WHAT THEY WERE SO STUBBORN LIKE "IT'S NOT FAIR TO THE (HUGE MINORITY BTW) OF KIDS WHO STILL HAVE SCHOOL AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THEY DO A 180 AND JUST CANCEL EVERYTHING?????
As a second-year IB student, I'm not quite sure how to feel about it??? Like, we'll still get graded based on coursework so we'll still be able to get our diplomas, but still??? I don't know what to do with myself????
Also, on a less drastic note, AP tests are apparently going to be conducted online FROM HOME. As someone who's taking three language AP tests and four other ones, I'm very curious as to how that's going to work and how much of a mess it's going to turn out to be.
At least I still have one more year of high school left after this disaster of a year for colleges to sort things out and figure out how to deal with all this stuff.
Lol ok rant over now. :D
