With my continuing writer's block, I've decided to share some random facts about Sacrifices of a Hero and who's pulling the strings.
Firstly, it wasn't originally planned to be a human au. That idea kinda grew on me after the plot of the first book was more or less figured out.
Secondly, Error wasn't going to be a kid, nowhere near it, in fact. Phantom was going to be the city's original first hero and Shooting Star's mentor.
Geno works at Starbucks, he's the manager of the location Night works at.
The heroes of Snowdin regularly met up at a Starbucks just down the road from Outer and Sci's house because Outer was in charge of that particular location.
In the very first drafts of SoaH, Fresh was completely absent apart from Error's comment on having to pick him up the day he was kidnapped.
Chance, Memory, and Blank, my OCs who work as the DSCR, are only there to give me some more material to write in The Files. But, they gained a larger role, not relevant to the 1st main arc, in some stories.
There are three planed arcs for the series and several side stories that plug in some holes. The first has Sacrifices of a Hero, The Files, as well as the unpublished Stabbed in the Heart, At First Sight, and It's a Wedding. There are a few more side stories, but I really can't remember any of them.
Arc one focuses on the eighth anniversary of Operation: Midnight as well as the time before, leading up to, and the year after the operation.
Arc two focuses on a missing person who will remained unnamed for spoiler purposes. There is also a larger period of recovery time from the first arc. It takes place roughly a year after Sacrifices ends.
Arc three has something completely tragic that happens in a side story. That aside, it gives a closer look at Insanity's character and answers the question asked from the start, who's pulling the strings?
