Hi, everyone!!

I got many DMs, so I am clarifying here in simple terms and leaving this alone. Thank you all for the comments before. <3

The Silent Hour will be finished in December.

-The Silent Hour--HEA with new couple.

          	– Love Like Poison--HEA with new couple.

          	– House of Verena--HEA with same couple.

          	– Sordid Silence is Eric’s story (new couple)

(please do check the content warnings as I write dark romance themes/elements)

Thank you for every single read on The Silent Hour!!

I know it’s been stolen more than once, so the fact that so many of you still choose to read it here where it was first shared means more than I can express.

I know the book has rough edges. Some scenes ramble, some moments need tightening. When the full story is finished, it’s going to an editor and then will be split into a duet. I keep notes on areas I’ll revisit later, but I haven’t changed anything yet because I don’t want to confuse anyone mid-read. That’s also why the tags haven’t changed.

Despite its messiness and flaws, I’m proud of it. In many ways, it has allowed me to learn my craft in public view, which is both terrifying and very humbling.

@Lizreader56 I agree I’m disappointed!!

@Munroeoffiction Also why does the tag say Redemptionarc when there's clearly no Redemption for Ethan?

@Munroeoffiction So a complete change from what very much seem to be indicated for the first part of the story. I really wish you'd made this clearer earlier.

Dying for updates!! Honestly, when I read people are team Ethan, I have to ask why?? What has he done that has made him redeemable…I’ll wait. He was warned by his wife, friends, and family to stay away ftom Lilas toxic snatch but he embraced the filth-three times. Saint is NOTHING like Lila and the comparison is gross. Is he obsessed-obviously, but he waited, knowing Ethan would fuck up, due to his utter lack of character, and when the time came Saint pounced. If anything, he’s an opportunist. He surely didn’t pursue her while she was married, he secretly pined. Is he a good guy-not really, but he’s way better than a lying, slithering snake, that disrespects his wife, children, and vows. Ethan is a scum bag who took his wife and the life she curated for them for granted, forgetting the stock she came from, and WILLINGLY lit their whole lives on fire. Saint is simply there to take advantage of the situation NOT her. Showing kindess and empathy to not only her but all three girls speaks volumes of his chatacter-as morally gray as he is. The fact that people think Julia is some vulnerable, weak character hasn’t been reading the same story. Even if Saint isn’t end game, in no world does Ethan deserve her. Again, Ethan has done absolutely NOTHING to prove he should be forgiven and Julia deserves better. Can’t wait to see how this all plays out. Love your work!!

@Amber4443 Saint is absolutely perfect for her! He’s from the same world she grew up in and embraces everything about her. And knowing that Lila tried to pursue him first and he drew a gun on her and rejected her just shows the difference between the two men. The man is obsessed but in a way that he would do anything for her while Ethan betrayed her - three times!

@Aly_Amethyst Saint is one of the best most devoted heroes I have ever read - I loathe Ethan all his monologues about Lila than to say he felt nothing from the start he was looking for an excuse to get into that Chernobyl gutter rat like Julia calls her whereas Saint put a gun in her mouth - in fact I love when he says that if Julia was his Lila would have been eliminated at the first sign of disrespect- come on how can anyone not see how perfect he is for her. I am sure the author would have fallen in love with the character she created as well!!!!

Well said! Ethan has done nothing so far to redeem himself. And cleaning up this mess of rats in the company and that slime ball Cortez changes nothing. He could and should have done all of that without having sex with Lila. He still clings on to the bs excuse that it was about control and refuses to admit that it was about desire. From the beginning he spoke about her beauty and how he couldn’t help but notice her, and enjoyed that admiration he got from her. And I’m sorry but if sex with her was so awful, why go back two more times? Him cleaning up his messes changes NOTHING about the betrayal. And even now, seeing Julia with Saint, he refers to her like a possession. That she should be ashamed to sleep with Saint?? Saint is definitely obsessed but kept his distance and respected their marriage. When he found out Ethan screwed up and she was leaving him, he used that opportunity to get a chance to know her and court her. That is NOT the same thing as what Lila did. Julia filed for divorce and signed the papers. Ethan refusing to sign doesn’t change her feelings or intentions about their relationship, and doesn’t make Saint a horrible guy (who happens to unalive people)

I love Saint for Julia. Cheating is irredeemable and no matter what the reasons or excuses are, I can never see Ethan as the one Julia ends up with. I hope you give this book and Julia, the ending they deserve. Love your writingā¤ļø

I totally agree!! Even if it weren’t for the cheating for the simple fact that Ethan doesn’t even know who he was married to. Saint absolutely deserves. Julia. No questions asked. It’s funny even the people who still cheer for Ethan which I think there’s only three of them left they were like mad that Saint got gifts for the girls and then he fixed it two lines later when he gave Julie the option as to whether to give it to the kids because she’s the mother. He has so much respect for Julia even if he wasn’t the endgame Ethan just can’t be

I saw a comment that said if Saint was a woman acting this way with Ethan, stalking and obsessing for 5 years, etc. We would all think she was a psycho and I have been thinking that the whole time! He is no different from Lila. He saw something he wanted….watched and waited for years and then made his move when Julia was at her most vulnerable. And I know, Ethan cheated, blah blah blah. I don’t care. Lila didn’t make her move 2 years ago because he would have shut her down. She waited until he was vulnerable and everything in his life was falling apart. Saint did the same thing. He would have had no chance with Julia 5 years ago. He is a scumbag just like Lila and waited until Julia was heartbroken. He even took part in that heartbreak by sending her everything. That is not some wonderful hero. That is a snake that took pleasure in watching a family fall apart because he only cares about himself and his obsession. And you will NEVER convince me he knows Julia better than Ethan! No one knows you better than the person who has seen you through childbirth and motherhood and built a whole life with you. I don’t care that he messed up one night in 11 years under extreme circumstances. I read about an incredible relationship and marriage in the first several chapters of this book and now all of the sudden I’m supposed to believe Ethan never appreciated the real Julia and took her for granted their whole lives together? Oh and Julia is such a strong, independent woman that is going to build her own life back up….but she jumps right from Ethan to Saint??? Make. it. make. sense!

Sue0345

Agree with all the above I’m so disappointed with her message I started this book because it was a redemption story, she totally changed it the last chapter was written to favour Saint, if you go back to the beginning was totally in love with Ethan now all of a sudden she wasn’t happy for the last 11 years!!

@TheBubs926 Exactly! That's why I started reading the story, cause I believed in his redemption and them getting back together! But now I'm not invested in the story anyway! Especially after reading her above message!
She's a great author and her writing is very good, but I'm disappointed in the change...

Ugh….I am not a Saint girl. Can someone let me know when it turns back to Ethan if that ever happens! No hate to the author on telling her story however she wants. I just thought this was going to be a redemption and I am not loving the direction of it right now! The way Ethan and their marriage is being portrayed now completely discredits everything I read and loved about their relationship in the beginning. The story was so fast-paced before too but now it feels like it’s dragging a bit.

Lizreader56

@BookishBabe1231 She's mal confirmed it is Saint so looks like a complete change certainly from what was indicated early on.

@BookishBabe1231 I think I'm waiting now until it finishes because if Saint turns out to be the H I will feel seriously misled , it's definitely not what we were told at the beginning.

@BookishBabe1231 100% agree. I'm confused! I understood Ethan was going to be redeemed as the H.

Not knowing who Julia ends up with drives me crazy. The book has second chance romance labels but then the author posted a picture as a hint of who she ends up with and I think it was a picture of Ruiz? Second chance romance to me hints at reconciliation with the original MMC.... Ugh either way I'm buckled in for the ride.

Amber4443

@ConniePickenCharby it’s her book and the character speak to her and there is no way anyone writing Saint won’t fall in love with him so I am beyond happy that Julia gets someone deserving of her she is a queen who needs a king

@BookishBabe1231 she also wrote in her comments he was the H and they get their HEA but that Julia has a fling in between. She’s also said she NEVER changes her endings. So after the last 2 chapters there is no way Ethan is the H or st best a believable H because her and saint are off the charts, and Julia pretty says she’s been without everything for the last 11 years… we still have 2 and 1/2 more times she’s with Saint and never with Ethan again in the book. So another 2 1/2 chapters where we don’t get grovel from Ethan. I think the way she’s painted Julia and Ethan from Julia’s now perspective is so opposite of the beginning chapters. We all commented on HOW Ethan could cheat after the first few chapters because they were soooo good from both perspectives, to now make it seem like he was nothing to her, that’s sad, and shows she’s changed her ending even though she says she hasn’t, because none of it matches.

@Pnutgo I’m hoping it’s Saint. Ethan makes me want to vomit.
