Hopeless Layabout. Aspiring Adult. Overly Ambitious Writer.

From the Myers-Briggs: I'm an INTP ("The Logician")―for those interested in such; which means I supposedly enjoy patterns and logical conclusions. What else? My favorite book is "Moby-Dick" by Herman Melville, and I'm partial to the films of David Cronenberg, Paul Thomas Anderson, Yorgos Lanthimos, and Nicolas Winding Refn. (Encyclopedic novels and slow-paced, disturbing, and obtuse cinema.)

And, and, profiles, ugh . . .

"One magazine which considered publishing one chapter finally demurred but wanted my "picture" and what of my life I could spare: if you are a writer, they don't want to buy and print your writing, but rather a picture and what you eat for breakfast. But then good God! that's what the book's about―It's difficult not to strike a pose, for being "eccentric" enough to try to get across that: What do they want of the [author] that they didn't find in the work?"
