You may think that you can because you have always been through the rough path in life, but you can't. 
          Your kids suffer so much, the best you can do is try to support them and be the best parent you can be. Leave your child alone when needed. 
          You need to understand that you aren't them, you, yourself, are different. Because of that difference, it changes your view of your child's life.

A parent can never truly see the life behind their own child eyes.

          Do you ever hate it when someone says,
          "What are those?"
          
          I went through the same thing when a filipino said it to me and I replied, "Sapatos Ma Tagna!" (Can't spell tagalog right but the tranlastion is shoes idiot or stupid).
          
          The poor guy just walked away. Hehehehe.... You could also point at their face and say, "What is that?" My best friend invented that. Beware who you say it too..or you might get in trouble.
