I have a theory with toy story what if all the toys are possessed by either loved one that died or maybe close friends to the family that may have died that why when the little girl left her toy by accident he tried hard to get back to her to just see she got a new one hurt him to just make him give up and not want to see her anymore and with Andy when he let his toys go to the daycare everyone got depressed because they thought someone close to them didn't want them anymore so they gave up while Woody tried hard to get back to Andy.  That may be why all the toys move too.
