Strong no #9: King's heartbeat
The blood stained the floor, and chaos filled the air. It was supposed to be a joyous day, her brother’s wedding but now, everything was falling apart.
She turned around, her breath catching in her throat. There he was, standing in front of her, her brother in his grip, a sword pressed against his neck.
"Leave him, please," she begged, her voice trembling with fear.
This was not how her brother’s wedding was supposed to go.
The guards lay lifeless around them, their bodies scattered across the ground. Her family’s castle was under his control, and her brother was caught in the middle of it all.
She had never begged for anything in her life, but now, as she looked at the sword inches away from her brother’s throat, she had no choice.
"Please," she whispered again, her voice breaking as she saw him tighten his hold on her brother.
"Marry me," he said in a cold, emotionless tone.
Her eyes widened in shock. Marry him? Her family's enemy? The man who had invaded her kingdom, killed her guards, and was now holding her brother hostage? The very man who had ruined her brother’s wedding?
her voice shaking with disbelief.
"You want me to marry you here, in front of everyone, while you threaten my family?"
"Don’t think too much, jaan," he said with a cold smile, showing no mercy.
"You will marry me here, now,"
"and I’ll stop this war."
Her mind raced. It was impossible, but her brother’s life was on the line.
She had to make a choice, marry him, or lose her brother.
She stared at him, torn between hatred for the man standing before her and the desperate need to protect her family.
