Myles Delfin works on graphic design and illustration projects when he’s not climbing mountains or racing mountain bikes. He does this to earn money, or for food, if that’s what people will give him in exchange for his doodles and sketches. Every now and then, he also takes pictures of people and places that are far from where the road ends. Often, in places so far removed from casual imagination that it takes a good story to describe them. And this is why Myles also writes stories, tall and otherwise, about random adventures and things that are just a little bit crazier than usual. In his years of experience competing in adventure races and going off on unplanned adventures, he’s had the pleasure of meeting man-eating snakes, superstitious bandits, and there was also a time when he came across a burning tree in the forest. This particular tree was deep in the mountains, on a trail shrouded by a mist so thick that the flames on its branches looked like a phantom halo. The tree had been struck by lightning just moments before and you could still feel the static electricity crackling in the air. It was then that Myles realized he could make a living telling stories, to both the wide-eyed and the jaded who like to think that they’ve seen everything there is to see in the world.
