@AngelAra01 The watch was the final clue because the killer had the watch with himself. Find the watch and you have the killer. The watch was kept in his very house in his father's room which is why for Elliot it was a good clue but for the readers? Not really. We were pretty much left hanging for majority of the time indeed.
I guess it wasnt really the kind of story where readers could solve the mystery by finding the clues themselves. The author asked us to guess anyway. Im just gonna take this story as a really good mystery story.
Bdw, the whole letter thing seems wierd to me. Why make your best friend go through all this trouble and trauma? He could just have left a long note explaining everything. The whole thing was obviously very sinister and kinda cruel imo. But other than that I guess it was a good story, the kind which tells you what happened(not the kind where you can find it out yourself).
Also, I didnt really expect the finale to be as good as the rest of the chaps 'cause this story was too good and complicated for a non-professional wattpad writer to finish with the same greatness the rest of the story had carried. It's also crazy difficult to create something like this. We still gotta give credit to Colourlessness haha.
