New Adult Romance

@NARomance Tropical. I live in the mountains, and they are way overrated.

I must confess. I read a great deal of dark angsty stuff throughout the years. I write M/M stories  and grew up noticing that if  there was a gay relationship on tv - or in a book, 99% it ended tragically, so I like to see characters win. Even if they go through some difficult things to get there. There is plenty of unhappiness irl, and for me- books are an escape. I like to immerse in stories that transport and entertain- a little ott. A bit  ‘extra’… Somewhat larger than life. The truth is (sometimes ) stranger than fiction, so make it shimmer and slide then send a thousand ships to war.

I love a realistic ending. If a sad ending is what's needed for the story to flow and make sense, then I'm all for it. If a happy ending makes sense, I'm all for that too.

I like the exhilaration of a good challenge:)

            I’m very hands-on with my writing. I use different tools during the process like any modern writer might but every scene, every emotional beat, and every twist is my own. I care deeply about voice, character, and how the story makes readers feel. That part can’t be faked or outsourced.

@NARomance Never. Must be in my words, in my cadence otherwise it doesn't feel like I am writing my story.

@NARomance My own date. I've tried the bestie setting me up on a blind date, and it crashed, burned, and blew away in the cold, cold wind. Never again.

@NARomance   I’d go with the blind date set up by a friend. If they know me well, they’ll pick someone with the right kind of spark, and there’s something fun (and a little crazy) about walking in with no clue who I’m about to meet. Way more romantic than swiping through endless profiles.

            I’d rather read the story. Movies rush everything, blink and the emotional damage is over. But with a book? You live in the chaos. You spiral with the characters. You obsess, overthink, reread the same line ten times because it hit too hard. Give me the slow-burn destruction every time, especially the romantic ones.    :)

I celebrate what makes me unique by fully embracing the parts of myself that don’t fit neatly into anyone else’s narrative. I write the stories I wish existed, dress in whatever reflects my mood—not the trend—and surround myself with people who honour my authenticity. For me, it’s not about standing out for the sake of it—it’s about being deeply, unapologetically myself, even when it’s uncomfortable. Especially then.

I’d rather get out of this country (United Stares) and not return for another 4 years (maybe more given the destruction this presidency has caused). 

@NARomance I would rather travel the world and see different things outside of my country if I could afford it.
