I have been in that funk too, I unpublished most of my stuff back along, for similar reasons but also I don’t know how much I trust wp with all my works; it feels like they don’t sincerely care about cultivating a poetry and art community here, it always seems last on the list and it just keeps getting worse. And I can’t deal with all the ads. But don’t undersell your talents as a writer, I definitely care about what you have to say and write. But I understand if you do take them down. I just wish there was a better alternative. Hope you’re well otherwise! 

tldr: i want to take down my work on wp bc i'm too lazy and i think i'd rather keep it to myself because i'm old(?) and embarrassed by my middle school "poetry". also i don't think anyone really cares ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

yes, i was very devoted to this site for a long time, as both a reader and writer; i tried so hard when i was younger to just put out whatever and fit into the little communities and read everyone's comments. now, honestly, i don't care much for this site, other than reading some works by moots (most have left the site already). what i've written i'd like to keep to myself; i don't have that immature urge for validation like i did in middle school when i started. unless anyone has VERY strong opinions on reading my work (which i realllly highly doubt. they're very amateur, a dime-a-dozen on wp), please take this opportunity to go read some better poetry. i know, i know, de gustibus non disputandum est, but social media poetry will be the death of me (saying this as a perpetrator myself!). however, there are some brilliant poets on this site, so please please please go support them. i just don't want to delete my books without warning (if there even is anyone still reading them).
