living as an inanimate object for years has, understandably, been a strange form of torture. after the curse that had been placed on eren and his (large, of course, a palace full of nothing now) household, armin has accepted their fates. eren refuses to open up to the outside world, or to find a means of breaking the curse placed upon him. armin wonders why, when the beast he appears to be now became every part of him.
until the strange girl arrived. this mikasa has taken the palace by storm with hope that things may change, but it seems so incredibly rocky. her and eren have hardly spoken. on top of /that/, mikasa is wandering around places that she shouldn’t be going. the small candlestick moves after the (really ridiculously tall to tell the truth) woman as best as he can, trying to intercept her. “ miss mikasa! you really should be in your room. not wandering these halls. let’s return, don’t you think? “

ID : @NOSTALGICSOLDIER “ this is going to get master so upset. “ armin tries convincing her to see a little bit of sense, the worry evident. if the girl won’t even dine with eren, won’t show any regard for what the reality of everything is, she shouldn’t be wandering around the halls as if she owns the place. aside from that issue, armin believes that mikasa is a sweet enough girl, if she would just simply give eren a chance. the issue is getting the two of them to that point, he believes. eren is simply too stubborn and mikasa is understandably at a loss following her practical imprisonment by a “beast.” they move to stand in front of the dark haired girl, although it won’t do much to really stop her from moving. even when he had been a person, he imagines mikasa would still be taller. “ maybe you’d like to see the library? it’s my favorite. or maybe the kitchens. there was always such a nice stock of chocolates and sweets, master’s mother was fond of some of them. we really shouldn’t be in this wing. “ he stammers.

[ @oceanseen ] ❛i disagree.❜ mikasa replied shortly, continuing to wander the halls at her own pace, glancing around. the castle was more than peculiar to say the least; it was so huge, for no people to be inside of it. only these strange talking utensils and the beast who is so assured that he’s “saved” her. its decorations seemed of one of any, so to speak, normal castle home to a normal royal family- gold etchings and portraits as far as the eye can see, even the walls seemingly shining. ❛i would like to stay out of that room as long as possible, mr. armin,❜ she continued, pursing her lips. yes, there was a part of her that was grateful for what had been done for her, but she could not stand being in that room; it reminded her only of loss and of her weakness that had led her to be in such a vulnerable position in the first place. she huffed, dragging her fingers across the bottom of a hanging portrait.
