nice right hook. [ * a cheeky grin is paired with hailie's signature dramatic entrance, jumping off the escape ladder with an elegance akin to her feline-laced genes. a knife flashes in the pocket of her jacket, the setting sun reflecting off the metal and casting dim shadows over the curve of a faintly freckled hand. blood is smeared across her cheek in the most hurried of ways, as if the person at hand was making haste to escape, yet hailie pays it no mind as she eyes her cousin. ' the cat that ate the canary, ' her mother would often comment. ' that's what that look is '. * ] i didn't get ta catch the beginning of that little argument, though. mind catchin' me up.

( ID : @NOTMORTAL — this is so late, i'm sorry :( ) oh, to be a baby again. before truths of war and hands drenched in coats of blood came to light, her father's troubled, rare frown whenever she or her siblings would be alone too long. to be a baby again, years before she was sat down and given the solemn truth of her uncle. killed at his hand at eleven, forever fucked in the experiment that was her resurrection. to be a baby again, when the world was small. she respects eden even so. there is a loyalty burned so deep within her veins that hailie still approves her cousin's drive. it shows in the way sapphire hues catch fire at the sight of the pitiful man's corpse, speaks in how her lips form into a look of disgust at the reasoning. " ah, another dumbass down. " comes the mocking tone, one foot kicking at the concrete. " you'd figure they'd know that by now, wouldn't 'cha ? ain't like anyone's ever escaped unscathed. " it's then her attention snaps back to eden, tongue running over teeth behind closed lips before her own form of greeting. " it's been a while, hasn't it ? "

@americandynasty- Eden is particularly calm for a girl drenched in blood. She straightens her back, leaving her foot on a fallen man's next. He's barely struggling anymore. "Cousin of mine," she greets, voice low. Despite being on the opposing side of a lifelong war ("a blood feud," her father would whisper in the dead of night, "one that shall never end until the family blood is cleansed,") she's always respected Hailie. How could she not? "He tried to go back on a deal with my dear brother," she replied, seeing no harm in the truth. Eden was always honest - even when it disadvantaged her. "No one disrespects a Valeska - not on either side."
