So it’s been forever, but I am back with another Shuli Go story, in case anyone is interested. Currently working on a few novels set in the same universe, but they’re just getting started, so it might be a while until there’s a new story.

Thanks to everyone who’s read or hit the favourite button, or even better, a comment or message. It really means a lot to hear someone’s enjoyed a story!

I just finished reading your first book of the Shuli Go volumes and there is only one word to describe what I have read. Amazing. It is absolutely amazing. The characters are well written, it's not cliché and the universe it is set in is so intriguing. The worldbuilding is awesome. Good luck for the future. I'm excited to read the rest.

@NadiaSeliah hello can you tell me how to write the story?

@An-Sifakah Hope you get your mojo back. Good luck and your welcome.

@An-Sifakah Thank you so much!!! That is seriously the nicest thing any writer can ever hear, and frankly I really needed it right now. Having a hard time getting back in the swing of writing, so I can definitely use a boost. :)

Hope you do have time to read more (I personally think the first story is one of the weaker ones), but even if you don't, I really, truly appreciate your kind words.

Welp. It's been two months since last I posted on my own wall. And I'm saddened to say that entire time frame has been taken up by the worst possible personal affliction to afflict a writer.

Yes. It's true. I have a new project.

Even worse, it's historical fiction, and requires literally billions of hours of research to ensure every detail is absolutely 100% correct in case a PhD in the appropriate time-period ever reads the book and disputes the use of grey over blue in the uniforms of a soldier, or points out that no, electricity didn't come to that particular small town in the middle of Europe until three years after the time I'm writing about. These things are simply not allowed.

So I'm afraid that my fairly regular stream of updates (Volume 4 of Shuli Go stories are now all up, if anyone's interested) may be slowing to a crawl. I'll probably only post once a week from now on, until I either a) give up on my new project, or b) refocus and start writing the many, many Shuli Go stories I still have crawling around my brain.

I'd also like to take this time to apologize to the many wonderful people whose stories and updates I have not been reading as my mind has been totally absorbed by this new project. I am going to redouble my efforts to read some works by @Megan-Hayley @quiarahb @YvonneFaurie and @Cameron-R-Lewis
among the many other wonderful people I've discovered on this site.

          Thanks for reading this drivel!

@NadiaSeliah, Take your time, friend. Some projects take up more of our time than others. We just want to see you come back feeling great about your new work. :)

Read my work when you're able. I will be catching up on the Shuli Go stories while you're away. :)

@ NadiaSeliah I know how you feel, haha! I have too many ideas (2 new projects) and haven't written a word in like 3 months... But it's almost Easter so many those days off work will help a little to catch up haha!

@NadiaSeliah aww, Nadia. I feel you, I really do. Don't beat yourself up too much; writing is supposed to be fun!

You can happily write away during the first draft and fix anachronistic mistakes later.

And, no hurry on my book. No pressure to read it at all. Only if you want to :-) I just ask that if you do like it, please remember to vote and comment along the way.

The last section of The Stories They Tell is now up! I've also posted the ancillary notes for those who are interested. And more is on the way!

I just finished the sixth story and am working on the seventh. All these shorter works are leading towards at least two proper novels that I have in my head as well. When I get into a world, I tend to really dive headfirst. Thanks to those who have been reading and voting, commenting, everything. Means a lot.

Been a few busy weeks in the real world, but am currently writing the sixth instalment of the Shuli Go series.

Each story I’m trying to do something different, mostly in terms of writing style. The next one to come up, for instance, has more... adult content in it. The one after that is a mini family epic. The one I’m currently writing is a straight up detective story that I’m trying to keep under 10,000 words. Really still trying to see what works for this world and what doesn’t. Learning a lot each step along the way.

Hope you will continue to join me for that journey. :)

@quiarahb Thank you! Sorry Wattpad has been tremendously broken for me the last few days so I couldn't reply until now. But I'm really liking CLIR! It's a very interesting world you're building, and Zeno is shaping up to be an interesting hero. Will definitely keep reading. :)

@quiarahb Thanks, you too! Looking forward to getting into Cities Lay in Ruin. Sadly my time is a little more cramped than I would usually hope for, but will try and keep on it. :)
