Discrimination
The world has overflown with discrimination,
The saddening truth of what is happening to our nation.
Nation, the place that should be the epitome of respect, unity and liberation,
But it turns out that our ideals and regulations are in a deep contradiction.
Race, shamed for the color, belittled because of their nationality or ethnicity,
Religion, fights with every religion on who's God is really high and almighty,
Age, young or old the difference is still a thing people can find flaws in
Careers, political beliefs, sex and more also deals with deep discrimination that we can barely imagine.
Disbelief is eating me knowing that discrimination is still lurking,
Shame and guilt is feeding off my skin knowing that we still have to fight for the obvious, the just, the humane.
Anger boils in my blood because I know somehow liberty means we have to keep on protesting,
Sorrow creeps into my doorstep because I know how little I can help throughout everyone's pain.
I am a student given with proper education
But before that opportunity I was already a citizen of our crippling generation.
I am a child with rights to voice out my opinions and observations,
And I just hope discrimination would soon be due for execution.
