National Insecurity

Why does it have to end like this ? I know it's just a piece of book and purely a fiction story, but I don't like the fact that Anna Wolff did not make it till the end. 
          Is there any possible alternatives to lift up my whole mood after reading this ? 

Where the book about Revenge? I can't find it anywhere!
