          I was EXTREMELY tempted to be evil and publish the new update with only 571 words (typically they are about 2,000-4,000 words long, so give yourselves a pat on the back for getting through them) and an utterly diabolical cliffhanger. I won't do that, but the update will be posted tomorrow instead of tonight hehe.
          
          Also, thank you for all of the support you have been giving to this story! It means the world to me.

          I’m sorry for the late notice, but there won’t be an update this month. If I could tear this month out of the calendar and set it on fire, I would. (Only for this year, so don’t worry if your birthday is in January.) 
          
          I’m going to do my absolute best to follow my monthly(-ish) schedule as my life gets busier, and I will hopefully publish the next chapter in February!

          Yes, yes, I changed my REALLY old username, but that's not what's important! I will post the next "By Your Side" chapter within a week! (Shocking, I know haha...)
