I'm a legally-blind 40-something aspiring to write novels.  In my late teens and early 20s, I loved John Grisham novels, and read quite a few of them.  Nowadays though, I can't stand courtroom drama.  Currently, I'm loving the writing of Michael J. Sullivan (Riyria Chronicles), Dalton Fury (Delta Force), Gregg Hurwitz (Evan Smoak), Duncan M. Hamilton (Wolf of the north), James Rollins (Sigma Force), and last but certainly not least  Mark Goodwin (Days of Noah).  My hope is to write great dystopian,  combat thrillers, space marine sci-fi, and epic fantasy, but every now and then I'll throw a curveball that has nothing to do with baseball.
