Hello.
I wanted to write it here because I feel like there are lessons everyone can learn from what I am going to share.
Earlier today, we had an incident where a solider at the base I am stationed at was assulted from behind by an unknown person with a stick. After investigation and a thourough search of the surronding peramiter, it was determind that the suspect fleed the sceen.
This prooves that even when everything appears calm, and nothing happened before, every day can be that first time. Every day can be diffrent.
The lessons from this are as followed.
1. Always be vigilant. We live in a messed up world. Anything can happen for all reasons, even if the reason is "for fun". That includes a drunk driver, or a stabbing. Be vigilant at all times, and don't place yourself in a situation of unecesery risk, such as letting someone drunk drive you.
2. Every day can be your last. In this scenario, the solider was attacked with a stick. At the same time, it could've been a gun, a knife, even a kidnapping. As such, it is important to cherish what you have today. Loved ones, and the life you have. Live every day with a smile and find a meening, because if may just be your last.
With that said, I wish you all a good rest of the day, and may the days to come be calmer and better.
