Just read ur tips post, quick question. What about putting the reader in certain clothes?

@TerrarianGod45 If it's necessary for specific events like a disguise, a team suit, a costume, trying to fit in, or a uniform for something. Other than that? No, leave it up to the reader's imagination as to what they want to wear. However, if you're gonna make it so that the mc has their clothes torn or taken off and you need to describe it, then either just drop the idea, or tell your readers what the mc is wearing but in vague detail. For example:

"Y/N settled with a hoodie alongside a t-shirt underneath it, some pants (or jeans, most prefer jeans), a nice pair of shoes (readers can decide if it's sneakers or not inside their heads), and a hat (up to readers choice if it's a cap, a Sombrero, a beanie, etc.).

As you can see, this paragraph described what Y/N wore without giving away details such as the color of the hoodie, the color of the hat, did the shirt have words, were the shoes red and Nike, were the pants ripped, etc.

At the end of the day, it's a reader insert. Leave it up to the reader's choice to fill in the unimportant yet tiny nice details.
