Nev is a South London-based writer, among other things. He has two children but still enjoys playing video games and watching films with the words 'Ninja' or 'Yakuza' in the title, especially if there is a colon and then the single word 'Vengeance' (or words to that effect).

The first video game he ever played to completion was 'Quackshot' on the Sega Megadrive, but gave up on 'Castle of Illusion' as he couldn't defeat Mizrabel. Nowadays he only really plays driving games.

His favourite film of all time is probably 'The Last Boy Scout', but if you asked him to his face he would say Herzog's 'Aguirre, The Wrath of God' to seem more knowledgeable and worldly.

He has recurring nightmares where he is sharing a stage with Cheryl Cole and is the only one singing live.

The standard Nokia text message alert used to annoy him, but he secretly misses it now.

In his lottery-winning fantasies Nev and his family live in a house in Cornwall on a cliff-top with steps that lead down to a small private beach, where there is an Airstream trailer like Mel Gibson's in 'Lethal Weapon' where he can write. In reality he lives in a small flat in Bromley, Kent. (Good schools).
