"The World is about to end."
I looked up at the Old Oak with concern.
"End?" my heart lurched upwards.
"You must escape this world and flee to the north."
"The north?" my throat felt dry.
"Go now, young storyteller, before it is too late."
"And what of you?"
"My time has been too long already, you are still only 15," Old Oak's voice was horse and tiered.
I nodded with tears in my eyes-tears of fear and loss.
I ran towards the cave wall and searched my pockets for what I was looking for. Ah! I clasped the golden key- the key I had so many times promised myself not to use- and shoved it in the keyhole. The cave wall began to shift and slowly open to reveal galaxies and universes beyond the human imagination.
I took one last look at Old Oak. His eyes were closed and I could sense a tremor in the ground.
I stepped back and then leapt through the opening and into the realm of endless possibilities...
