I just read Dragonworld: The Drive For Power and really liked the scene where Chayo was finally enjoying a quiet moment on the pyramid stairs but still got pulled back into duty when Tissanal came with the news of the stolen dagger. Did you plan from the start that his peace would be so short lived or did that twist come naturally while writing?

@NewRenaissanceMan I think that’s actually a strength it makes the world feel richer and gives readers more to discover as long as the threads connect back to the core the layers just make it more engaging do you find yourself enjoying the challenge of weaving those parallel storylines together?

@emilyharper0077 Yes I do. Although the problem is that sometimes it expands the story in different directions, and I am afraid that readers might not be able to keep up. For example, now in my story I have multiple storylines and multiple characters running in parallel, when originally I wanted to keep a simpler, more straightforward structure. In my head everything in the story makes sense, but not always sure if the reader will be able to follow the multiple threads.

@NewRenaissanceMan That sounds like a really creative process it keeps the story feeling alive and unpredictable do you enjoy when the writing surprises you and takes a turn you didn’t expect?
