Back to an info dump while the investigation takes FOREVER (spoilers if you're not caught up)

Lowkey love how Kazue's just repressing her negative thoughts/feelings, and how her breaking point was her hiding her rule so she'd die- bc lowkey she genuinely thought it'd be better that way.

Ironically enough, Tsuneo wouldn't have killed anyone even if she did tell him about her rule- don't get me wrong he'd absolutely offer and think about doing it constantly, but he wouldn't have gone through with any of it because he's already terrified she hates him for being Genocide Doll, the last thing he needs is another reason for her to dislike/fear him. If he and Jun knew, they'd just grow even more determined to find the Mastermind and have a whole side plot about that

Of course Kazue had no reason to think any of that would've happened, I mean she literally found out her best friend was a SERIAL KILLER just days/weeks after her half-brother was murdered, not to mention she's still under the impression that her family, friends, and fans outside the hotel are dead, but I mean

Doesn't change the fact that what she did was basically a suicide attempt (which would've succeeded had Koharu and Hitomi died just a ffeeww seconds later than their current Time of Deaths)

Also fun fact Kazue and Jun were gonna be canon at one point

Then I changed my mind because I was like "actually I'm gonna let the people have fun with the ships"

Mostly because I wanted the ones that are canon to remain as story relevant things and not just slop that was shoe-horned in. Which means yes, Takuto and Satoshi's relationship and Chōko and Koharu's relationship WILL come up in future trials. Don't ask why, I don't feel like answering

(Chapter 1 spoilers, if you're not done reading it go finish it)

Akari telling Satoshi he'd die in the arms of a long forgotten lover, only for him to he strangled by Takuto... Neither of them able to remember the sweet moments they shared as a couple during their Hopes Peak days, in turn making them 'forgotten lovers'

          DON'T TALK TO ME

(Mild spoilers- this is all stuff that's already happened, but just in case someone wasn't caught up on the most recent chapters I'm adding a warning anyways)

Sometimes I get worried the constant mention of Satoshi might get annoying, but then I remember that he was an important person in Kazue, Jun, and Tsuneo's lives so of course his sudden death is gonna haunt them for the rest of their lives, and then I stop worrying.

One of my goals is to make it so characters and their deaths aren't something that people just move on from after a few chapters- Koharu's absence from recent chapters is because she's spiraling into depression, Yume is trying to keep the Anti-Council together but failing because she's still dealing with Yaeko and Takuto's deaths, and of course Satoshi's ended up having a bigger impact since people were genuinely relying on him for help. Kazue's also acting more and more impulsively for a reason, she's kinda just lost any self preservation- she's not ACTIVELY having suicidal thoughts, but the only thing stopping her from becoming more self destructive is the fact she doesn't want to hurt Tsuneo or Jun (to the point she doesn't communicate with them about how she feels or the struggles she's going through).

And y'all wonder why I love Kazue so much

@NextGenAUs uh huh. I definitely understand..
