          Chris’s past is so overlooked it pains me. His dad BROKE HIS NOSE bc of the milk money situation (I THINK I HAVENT READ THE BOOK IN AGES) and they kinda just ignored it in the movie and pushed past it. Don’t get me wrong the movie is my all time favourite but it rlly disappointed me tbf. He was beat up because he dropped a PLATE ☠️ And in the book him and Eyeball had such a more developed relationship. Like they actually spoke abt their family issues when Chris threatened to shoot Ace. I can’t remember what he said exactly but he referenced that his dad was going to beat Chris up so much when he finds out Chris stole his gun. And another great thing they changed in the movie is the fact Chris held the gun instead of Gordie which amazed me when I read the book. I love the book+movie so much it’s indescribable
