            Hey, thanks for getting in touch and for your concern. I'm not dead, lol. However, my wife and I decided to buy a new house in mid-April and so life went from very busy in late April to super busy come late May. Then everything went to complete shit in July and life became a nightmare. As a result, I've either been too busy or haven't been in the mental state to sit and write for months. I think I managed to write ~7K words of the next chapter before all that happened, but I've not looked at it since late-April.
            
            Things are a bit better now and my wife and I have managed to move house, but the whole affair is still not sorted, so the shit could hit the fan again in a couple of months time. 
            
            I meant to post something to tell people that And You And I was on hiatus until my personal life was sorted, but I never got around to it, so my apologies for that. I really do need to post that message. The story is not dead, as I do plan to continue it once things settle down and I'm in the right headspace to start writing again. But I can't give a timeframe for when that is going to be yet, as I just don't know.

            Lol, let's just say that Brooks gets her twisted mind from her creator. However, the more interesting question is: what happened in her life to make her the person that she is? Obviously the cannon version of the character would not do what she does in Kiss of the velvet whip, but that does not mean that she does not have the urge to inflict such pain upon someone.

@Niaxi42 the hate-sex thing was just a random thing that came in my mind. And oh my god I can already imagine it. Brooks really has a twisted mind doesn't she.

            Yeah, my 'prog-rock' writing style is not for everyone. I have given Kim and Shego free reign to act, react and do what they want, so even I don't know what is going to happen most of the time. I have a rough plan for where I think the story is going to go, but if either gal's actions clash with it, it's the plan that gets altered, not their actions. Lol, Kim still caused the biggest upset; way back in season one, when she reacted so strongly against the idea that she was gay. I then had to have a chat with her and find out why and that is what ultimately shaped the rest of the season. 
            
            Lol, I do love including a lot of detail, don't I. If I find something in the show that I feel needs an explanation, I just have to come up with one. And I loved creating Shego's backstory (more of that to come this season and next) and fleshing out Kims's. 
            
            Thanks again for your kind words, they have genuinely helped give me that extra little boost that I've needed to finish the season. Yeah, you read that correctly, the first draft of all the chapters is now complete. So, hopefully, I'll be able to roll out the first of 4 updates in the next couple of weeks. It should then, hopefully, be one update per week until the season is done. So, I hope you are looking forward to it.

@ Niaxi42  I think people are used to everything going so fast in stories, and being "And you and I" such a well-detailed story, you really thought about every detail and the development of every thing, every thing has its process, and that's what they don't appreciate, from my point of view, it's one of the best stories I've read so far.  I really love it, And I appreciate every word of it.

            Thank you so much for your kind words, it means a lot whenever someone says something that nice about one of my works. 
            By and large, And You And I has actually been so easy for me to write, hence why I managed to write such a ridiculous amount in just over a year. However, I hit serious burnout after I finished But if you try sometimes... and while I did write a couple of chapters after that, the sudden decline in engagement from my readers, especially over on ao3, after that chapter really killed my motivation. I'd put everything I had into that chapter; felt like I had finally given everyone the major step forward in Kim and Shego's relationship that they'd been waiting all season for and barely anyone seemed to care. However, while it was difficult to take, I've managed to get over that and I'm really enjoying myself again and can't wait to finish the season and share it with you guys.

@ElizabethCampbell099 We have a lot of nice scenery here in Scotland, but not the weather to go with it, lol. I live in a city called Dundee; on the east coast and according to the data, we're supposed to be the sunniest city in the country. So, I'd hate to see what the others are like on a daily basis, lol. 
            
            Personally, I always write to please myself and just kinda hope other people like it when they read it. However, I always hate when someone stops reading my work with no explanation as to why. It makes me feel like I've done something wrong in a recent update and I cant stop it denting my confidence a little. The same goes if I get a negative comment. Although at least in that case I typically know what someone dislikes and why. 
            
            If you can see past the pairing, you should hopefully enjoy the love we share. Like And You And I, it is another love story where a romantic relationship between the characters is difficult to form and maintain. Assuming Kim and Shego actually get there, lol. 
            
            Ensnared is a completely different animal altogether. While I label it a crime/thriller, it is very different from your standard crime trope of 'detective has to solve a case (usually a murder)'. However, please do lower your expectations when it comes to the writing style when you start reading it, as objectively, it is nowhere near as good as And You and I. It was only the second story that I ever wrote and the first draft was  a steaming pile of garbage; put lightly. In the end, it went through six drafts before I decided I couldn't improve it anymore and self-published it. Since then, my writing style had improved by the time I came to write The Love We Share and then again when I started writing And You And I. However, if you do like the first section, don't hesitate to get in touch and I'll send you an eBook of the whole thing.
            
            Finally, be warned that I pull zero punches in either work, so expect to see graphic descriptions of violent scenes and full on sex scenes.

Oh wow! It’s been a long dream of mine to visit Scotland! I’m from the states. And I 100% agree that it is addicting. I strive to please people and acceptance is my drug of choice. Knowing that I’m doing a good job is like heroine. I will have to check out those other stories! I do love crime stories so I think Ensnared will be right up my alley. Can’t wait for your next updates!

            If you are interested, I do have two other novel-length stories that are not here on Wattpad. The first, titled The Love We Share, is another romance story between two characters from Digimon Adventure 01. Although while you don't really need to know anything about Digimon to enjoy it, the paring is an unconventional one that will put a lot of people off, especially if you missed the subtle hints concerning the relationship between the two characters in the original show. The second; Ensnared, is my first novel, a new-adult crime thriller about a group of high school teens in Chicago and two members of a sex trafficking cartel. As Ensared was written first, it is not as well written as The Love We Share, which in turn is not as well written as And You And I.
