Alright, so an update on what's going on with Sulfur & Tealights: I didn't update when I said I would because I became busy planning for a big trip that is quickly approaching, and also because I needed a break from working on it. I started the story impulsively on a few quick ideas, but had no idea how to end it, which is likely clear to anyone who had the patience to read the entire train wreck. I know I was adamant about finishing it as it is, but after some thought I don't think it's worth my time anymore. I do still want to rewrite it eventually, but I think, first, I need to work on my style a bit and how I organize my chapters, as well as what I'm comfortable writing about. S&T touched on some pretty heavy topics with Carl, and so did Mind, Have Mercy. I tend to enjoy angst when reading and writing - that is not likely to change - but I need to work on writing lighter topics. Also, as is evident by the tags for S&T, I meant to push myself to write smut and I failed horribly (I apologize to anyone who found S&T through #sexualtension and was subsequently disappointed). I want to practice writing about things I've not written before, or branch out, so to speak. I also need to practice pacing and plot structure, and for a while now I've considered getting used to shorter stories.
All that said, I won't update Sulfur & Tealights anymore, and it will be a bit before I redo it. However, I may post other stuff. I can't guarantee a set schedule, since I'll be visiting out-of-state friends very soon and almost immediately after I return, a new semester will begin, but I do mean to continue writing.
To everyone who read any of S&T and MHM, thank you. I hope I'm not disappointing anyone by giving up the former, and I doubt I am. Neither live up to my standards, and while I can't promise better craftsmanship, I will try to improve so I can provide it.
