I guess I can relate to you, I like songs by The Man In Black as well. And, Fantasy is possibly the best genre of books. I love Mystery and Sci-fi, they may be incorporated with Fantasy. Do you like Mystery and/or Sci-fi?

I used to read the Hardy Boys, and have read a few other good mystery books.
            I will read Science Fiction and enjoy it, but I haven't read as many good Sci-Fi books as fantasy or Epic. Enders Game  Speaker for for the Dead was a good couple of books. I read hat long before  movie as well. 
            Now if you want a fantastic Sci Fi series, Monster Hunter International! It takes place in modern times and not in space, as an FYI
