Hi, I'm Nici and writing is a little hobby of mine, I wouldn't say that I'm a really serious writer, I just do it for fun.
I have written two murder mystery stories; The Miller's Court Mystery, and The Dragon's Den. I am currently working on a third story, at the moment it's called; Mystery at Kingfisher Cottage. I have done a lot of research into these short stories, spending hours looking over old medical books and trying to get my facts straight (it's been glorious fun) it would probably look like a very offensive bogey to a historian I'm sure, but all you can do is try!
My past attempts include a novel which I affectionally called 'Endless' mainly because it is :)
In other news; I love reading. My recent conquests include; to Kill a Mockingbird, Stuart: a Life Backwards by Alexander Masters, The genius in my basement by Alexander Masters, The Constant Gardener by John La Carre', When God was a rabbit by Sarah Winman.
Not so recent: The hobbit, Lord of the Rings, Emma by Jane Austen, good ol' Janey. The Family by Martina Cole, except the dying by Maureen Jennings, the Hunger Games, The Complete Sherlock Holmes (obviously) I also have a strange love for Andy McNab books, which I am told is very strange for a young woman, I don't really see why it's strange most of them are brill.
Another great Murder Mystery/Thriller that I've read recently; Murder Mile by Tony Black.
Right, moving on. I am new here on wattpad. I've become a member of sharing stories and newcomers, a few very nice people have read my chapter and left feedback, I even have a fan which is very exciting (thank you fan) I'm 23 years old and I work in a bookshop, I've always had a fondness for books, writing has been a more steady love, but it's a very good way to get rid of the excess imagination flying around in my noggin.
