My story is called "Burning Blue" - a sci-fi about Nathan Smith, a boy of 17, who wakes up in an unknown location with little memories. He knows there was an attack on his home Dome (giant high-tech underground structures housing all remaining humans) and that his mother was killed. The other thing the boy remembers is that he was last in a police station. Where he is now looks nothing like a police station and the people around him do not behave like officers either.
Nathan finds himself in the secret town of the terrorist organisation The Opportunists, accused of conducting the attack. More shockingly, they accuse him of discovering his mother was an Elaine (a secret group designed to lower the population of the Domes) and killing her.
The boy has to prove his and his mother's innocence while working with The Opportunists to stop more people from dying. Along the way he slowly discovers friends and foes but the biggest secret is hidden in his mother's mind.
