          	_Part 5: Extra

One of the levels will feature Froggy. Here's his order:
"Hey, I need some fragrant flowers for my garden..." to which the correct answer is Kalachuchi. This flower's flashcard contains the following information:
"Kalachuchi is a very popular ornamental flower in Philippines, which comes in a wide range of colors including red, pink, orange, and white. This flower is fragrant enough to fill an entire garden and can also be used as herbal medicine."

Additionally, in Day 4 and 5, there will be orders which require the player to pick more than one flower. Some examples being "Santan + Ylang-ylang" for a love confession or "Gumamela + Sunflower" for a congratulatory party.

          "Google Doodle: Celebrating Philippine Flowers!"
          _Part 4: Levels

In this Doodle, the player has to help Lily and Rosie make sales and fix the shop over the course of 5 days. Each "day" is considered a level and consists of several "orders", ranging from 2 to 4. To complete a "day", the player needs to complete those orders right.

After you finish all of them, the screen will then say "Day 1 complete!", then there will be a short animation of Lily having a cup of tea and Rosalyn lazing around in her office chair before the screen changes to a different view labeled "Garden" featuring the flowers you have learned about and a window with an afternoon view. You can view the flashcards again by clicking on the corresponding flower. Then there will be a button below that says "Proceed!" This will repeat until Day 5.

Starting from Day 2, there will be a small button in the corner that says "Garden", where you can review your flowers in the middle of a "day". This time, the window view will be a bright morning.

@NickelBeryllium Just a quick note: This concept is not owned by Google! It is between me and Nickel, so please don't use it without our permission! You must understand that making such concepts is no joke :')

Lily and Rosie belong to me only tho.

          "Google Doodle: Celebrating Philippine Flowers!"
          _Part 3: Level 1

In the first round, the shop received a tamaraw as a customer.

          "Good morning.
"I want something nice to gift my wife with because today is our first anniversary. Can you recommend anything?"

The two options for the player to choose are: "Ylang-ylang - love, sensuality, new beginnings" or "Gumamela - love, glory, a perfect woman".

The correct answer is the Gumamela.

If the player chooses Ylang-ylang, an "X" will flash across the screen and there will be a small animation of Lily smacking Rosie across the head. The flashcard that pops up with the following information:
"In the language of flowers, Ylang-ylang symbolizes eternal love, sensuality, joy, and new beginnings, hence it is often used in bridal bouquets to bless the couple with a harmonious and joyous married life."

If the player chooses Gumamela, a bouquet of Gumamela will pop up on the screen along with a flashcard:
"Gumamela is, in fact, the local name for hibiscus. Red gumamela represents a perfect woman, love, the beauty of fame, and personal glory. This flower is often used as bouquets and decorations at weddings, decorations for a home's facade, and an ingredient for children's bubble-making."

After this round, there will be a short animation of Rosie and Lily watering the plants as they start to blossom.

          "Google Doodle: Celebrating Philippine Flowers!"
          _Part 2: Gameplay tutorial

"Let's make this place beautiful again!" say Rosie/Rosalyn and Lily in unison, with Rosie holding a pot of Sampaguita and Lily fixing her glasses.

There is a short animation of them setting up the pots and watering the flowers before a first customer (a deer) enters the shop. A dialogue appears:

"Hello. My friend just lost an important competition in her career and is very sad about it. What should I give to console her?"

There are two options laid out for the player with their respective meanings listed beneath:
"Waling-waling - independence, persistence, and aspiration" or "Ylang-ylang - love, sensuality, and beauty".

The player is instructed to choose the Waling-waling. Once you follow, a pot of Waling-waling will pop up on the screen along with a flashcard: "Waling-waling, crowned "Queen of Philippine Orchids", symbolizes independence, persistence, and aspiration. However, it is now critically endangered."

After successfully selling the flower, there will be a short animation of Rosie and Lily cleaning up the floor, then the game officially begins.

The 2024 Halloween Doodle is super duper cool! It's such a nice continuation for part 1 and 2, with action and friendship and a good plot twist, AND a satisfying ending. Go check it out!

For Halloween, I also updated the latest chapter of "Magic Cat Academy: The Adventures of Momo" - "The Game of Cat and Mouse"!

@NickelBeryllium Oh, well said! I rechecked the cutscene and yeah, his face in the end confirmed it for me :3

@PoodleOwl Actually... I think he was reluctant. When battling the final boss, he seemed anxious, as if questioning his own choices moments ago. It doesn't really feel like he is wholly on her side during the fight, either, because his skill is a double-edged sword, slowing both Momo and the celestial bodies down. Then when they came down to celebrate, it took him a while to accept it. Personally, I want to believe that he took immediate action (teaming up with Momo) because he also didn't want their world destroyed, knowing just how destructive the dark star was himself. The whole "if the world is gone, what am I going to take over?" kind of mindset.

@NickelBeryllium Yup! But... there's something that felt... missing when Marshmallow teamed up with Momo. Don't get me wrong, its not bad but I feel like they could've made him have some reluctance before he joined hands with Momo. Or is it just me?? Could've added more character of him being a softie.

          "Google Doodle: Celebrating Philippine Flowers!"
          _Part 1: First cutscene

A tiny purple pangolin (Lily) followed by a fennec (Rosie) is walking through a bamboo forest, past a hill, into a market town, pulling a cart of flowers behind them. A bubble appears visualizing their expectation of the new shop: having bought the place with much difficulty, they think it would be nicely furnished and ready to go. Then, the bubble pops, revealing a barren, dirty place with a garden that needs emergency recovery. Lily and Rosie are shocked, staring wide-eyed at the scene before them before deciding to roll up their sleeves and transform the place into a beautiful shop.

They look at each other and nod, then the gameplay tutorials start.

Random DCIG headcanon:
In DCIJ, I put Lucky's full name as "Maneki Rakki" in which "Rakki" is the Japanese pronunciation for "Lucky"; in this case, her name is fully English and written in katakana.
However, in modern AUs (yes, plural, I will update my AU collection later), her real name would be "Maneki Sachihashi", in which the kanji for "Sachihashi" means "good fortune". As she grows up, she thinks that name is too hard to pronounce so she uses her nickname "Lucky" instead. In this case, her full name can be written in kanji and/or hiragana.
