Don't know if anyone cares but

I'm stopping vaping. I've always been against it and will go on rants about how bad it is for your lungs and for younger kids. I've sat at parties and passed them around, but still told my more innocent friends "Don't do it. It's bad for you."

And with COVID-19, I don't want to continue lying to myself, I'm addicted to the nicotine. Younger persons who are hospitalized due to the virus usually have harsher symptoms from pre-existing medical ailments and/or they were smokers/vapers.

We need our lungs. And I can't be a hypocrite for my boyfriend and little brother 'cause they've shown interest in quitting but its hard. So, if anyone reading this smokes or vapes or has a bad habit and they wanna tone it down or quit, I'll be here to talk.

(I realize many of you guys are younger than I am, and I don't want to be another adult that just says "don't do it you'll regret it." I am an advocate of living life. Research things before you do them, be sure you're willing to deal with the consequences if you try that thing. Don't listen to opinions, go with the facts from medical experts etc.)

Hey guys.

Everything is a little scary right now, and it's okay to be stressed and worried and concerned.

As some of you know I'm in Canada, and my province has gone into a state of emergency for health. Schools province wide closed, public places that are unnecessary shut down, I lost my job before I got to start and thousands of people are on temp leave, laid off, or left without any support.

It's not as bad here as it could be, I know the States lacks financial help/security for a lot of families and I hope everyone can make it through this weird panic.

Please keep yourself informed of the politics in your country and area. Covid-19 might not be as deadly as the flu but the issue is how fast it's spreading and the severe symptoms for people with asthma, diabetes, underlying health problems, or those with compromised immune systems like our elders.

Self-isolation isn't just to keep you and your family safe, it helps stop the spread to others. It helps slow the amount of people getting sick so the hospitals are not over run and unable to help everyone.

There is the mental problems of being in isolation, but most of you will have families to interact with. Please stay active on your social media and call, text, play video games with your friends over the internet to maintain healthy contact.

I urge everyone to research (with out over-stressing yourself) the crisis and ways to keep yourself safe.

I am so sorry guys.

I kind of went AWOL on wattpad for a bit, school got busy and things are all over the place irl.

Like currently, I went about my day normally and started driving to school. Then my tire decided to suicide and blew when I was going 120km/h on the highway (I think that's 80m/h?).

So. How's everyone doing? Cause I'm freezing and jamming out to shitty radio waiting for a tow truck.

Pro-Tip from your Friendly Neighbourhood New Adult

          DO NOT BE PICKY.

I say that and I'm such a hypocrite.

So today I'm in the big city and I looked at a really nice Pontiac, and a beaten-up Volkswagen.

I chose the Volkswagen just because I know how to fix them and I have a parts car for it sitting at home (check out the picture on my last update of the random book).

And my boyfriend is mildly mad I'm not buying the Pontiac cause he knows its a better deal.

DON'T BE PICKY. TAKE OPPORTUNITIES THAT BENEFIT YOU.

(Don't be a broke idiot like me.)

Let's look at things with optimism.

I've been beating myself up over skipping classes and it makes me avoid the work I need to get done (which results in going to class less because I'm even further behind). This week I messed up and got Sundayed, then Tuesday I walked to the bus at the wrong time and missed it. Today I just had the absolute best sleep I've had in a while (which was so good I slept through my VERY annoying alarm).

Instead of thinking 'Oh man I missed three days!' I've been in the process of gearing more towards, 'I went to two classes this week! I was productive both days for a couple of hours in the library and I'm all caught up! Today I will email my teacher and do the work that I can!'

And damn have I actually been productive. All my friends say shit like 'You can't miss that much!' And 'You need to go to class!' Which adds to my poor thinking on it (which makes it worse etc.)

I avoided doing one of my certificates because I was behind in class (avoided my classwork because I missed class) but then I started thinking my certificate will be a break from classwork. I got it done doing a couple of hours a day for like three days and bam! It's done.

My car hit a tree, and instead of thinking of all the money down the drain its turned into a project car my brother and I can bond over. I can get the vehicle I've always wanted (keep in mind I'm a broke student so I'm buying literally the least shitty pick-up I've found to use as a daily driver XD haha).

Life is so much more spectacular. I find myself in mental lulls less and less, I'm not sitting around procrastinating as much.

I just need to keep rethinking how I look at things. I don't catch every thought or personal outlook, but the few that I do have really helped.

Happy New Years!

This year has honestly been a wild ride.

I almost dropped out oh high school, but I got my diploma.

I went through two cars and have zero income to handle that.

My mental state has been iffy, but my close friends have been able to make me happy.

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Years! I look forward to facing the turmoil of the new decade.
