OMG. I live somewhere really hot and dry and it almost NEVER rains, but it's FINALLY raining here. I mean it's still well over 100 degrees outside, but that's not the point! It's finally raining! I'm so happy. I just wanted to share.
I'm going to say this clearly: BLACK LIVES MATTER! If you don't like this: you can stop reading right now and leave. What happened to George Floyd was horrible and it should not have happened. There is racism ingrained in the US and I really hope there is change. I have been raised to believe that no matter the race, religion, gender, sexual identity, etc of a person, THEY DESERVE RESPECT, CARE, AND COMPASSION! All lives matter, but it is time for this racism to STOP.
However, I will say that violence is not the answer. I do not condone the rioting/violent protests, but I stand-as much as I can-with the peaceful protesters.
