Enjoy them whilst they last! I'm considering taking down (parts) of my work as I'm considering commercial ventures. Obviously, I might not succeed (well, in all likelihood I most likely won't :-)) so the takedown might only be temporary. Still, I thought it fair to warn up front.

To all.

I just finished a rewrite of the first 55 chapters, and added new material for chapters 3, 18 to 28, and 42 to 55. If you have not encountered the witch yet, or are unaware of Ellen's visit to San Francisco, then I suggest to start again at chapter 1. Yes, that much has been added.

I have no plans to make any other changes to the first half. All that's left is fixing mistakes.

The book is complete, but some sections in the remaining chapters need a revision and a few bridges. I will post those parts when they are ready.

It's been quite the ride thus far.

Like so many others I am considering taking the story down from Wattpad, so if you like this tale please enjoy it while it is still here.

Tell others which part you like, tell me which parts you don't like :-)

          Feedback, people, I need feedback!

@Divoret Please open a chapter and look inside :-)

          What actually happened is this:

          1. I am doing a rewrite.
          2. I am adding a lot of new material.
          3. I used this to combine the sometimes very small chapters
          4. Everything up to chapter 55 has been redone, completed and posted.

If you read the story before, you may have to re-read it, that much has been added. Chapters 3, 18 to 28, and 42 to 55 have all been added.

Just open up the first regular chapter, and you'll find out I grouped together the first five original chapters.

NineLizards

My apologies, but I posted an older version of chapter 45 (and 46). The end of the chapter is a little different, but the next chapters would make little sense without it.

Comments are welcome, as usual. The posted chapters now stand at 45k words, a little more than half the novel has been posted thus far. Most of the latest posts contain new material.

As usual, if you have any comments, please tell me. If you like the story, tell others :-)

The edit and reformat is ongoing. Added a new segment to Kind's Kiss (inserted a new chapter 3, to be precise, this will play a larger role later-on in the story).

Also reworked / inserted chapters 18, 19, 20 and 21, preparing for the encounters with the witch and the man in the white suit.

Chapter 22 will include some new elements, and is under review right now...

BOOK ONE 'KIND'S KISS' IS COMPLETE!

Yes. It's done. Mostly done :-) The story was getting too long, but I finally managed to find a decent spot to insert a break. And yes, the work on part 2 is already underway.

So, over the next weeks I am going to do some checks to make sure I didn't mess up too much, and post the remaining chapters of 'ParentKillers I - Kind's Kiss.'

          I hope you enjoy it!

I try not to send out too many notifications (I'm pretty sure you already get enough spam as it is) but I temporarily took down Kind's Kiss. I did this to combine multiple smaller chapters in to larger ones.

I was planning to do that during a later edit, but reader feedback (the customer is always right!) prompted me to do that now.

Some more news: the story is reaching it's completion (yeah). We're not there yet entirely, and I'm worried I won't be able to wrap up all threads in a single book... We'll see how that works out.

Stay safe. Keep writing. Keep reading. Nine out.

Violence. Love. Misunderstanding. Explodin' burds. Everything a good novel needs.

Imagine my own surprise that it took me seventy thousand words to actually put in the very first kiss of my novel, something more than a peck on the cheek. So, if you're in it for the romance, I must have disappointed you by now. I can promise another kiss or two and some hand holding, but little beyond that. On the other hand, these characters sometimes take over, and I find myself to be just the author, along for the ride. At least I hope it has been somewhat entertaining thus far.

I posted some stories which I took down again. I started to work actively on Kind's Kiss end last year. Most of the work was done in the last six months.

Perhaps I should rephrase it like this: you get a new chapter every week, and I write on average at least a chapter a week :-)

@Divoret Ah, a bit of both. The easy answer would be one by one, but it's a little more complicated than that :-)

            1. It's an ongoing story, so I have a full plot, but not all the details. In other words, I roughly know where I go, but I wing it on the way.

            2. I write in batches, and edit in batches. These sometimes overlap, so I may go back to change something in a previous chapter, if that works better for the story. (Which is where the 'DRAFT' chapters come from.)

            3. Typically, I write in batches, so sometimes I post 2 to 5 chapters quickly one after another, and sometimes it takes me days...

Typcially, once a week (if real life doesn't interfere too much) you'll find me converting one to two 'DRAFT' chapters to 'regular' chapters.

In the last few months work has been awfully busy, I had some health setbacks, and the Covid crisis isn't helping much either. Fortunately I finally found the time to read and write again. So I've started posting Part Four of Kind's Kiss. Hope it isn't as bad as everything that came before :-)

          Stay healthy. Keep writing.
