Hello! If anyone happens to read this, I am trying to find a few books I once read circa 2023/2024:

1.)  An office romance/merger type book. All I really remember from it was that it started off with the main character going to a club with her friend, and she ends up seeing her former college friend who is now her enemy she hasn't seen in years outside the bathroom. She also lives in New York and works as a secretary for a law firm or something like that. The next day, she goes to work and finds out her company is merging with a new one, and her old friend is the boss/CEO of that company. There is a scene where, during lunch, everyone else leaves and they're the only two left in the room. That's all I really remember.

2.) I'm pretty sure this book was deleted, but it was about a supervillain and the sheriff's daughter. The first scene was her walking her dog in a park and getting attacked, but then the supervillain appears and helps her.
