First of all — the fact that you keep coming back to tweak lines? That’s not a bad thing. That’s literally what writers do. Editing a sentence because it “didn’t make sense” just means you care about how it reads. That’s growth, not failure.
And if the general idea is still solid and the dialogue sounds like the characters? You’re already winning. Plot + in-character dialogue are way harder to nail than a slightly awkward narrator line. Writer POV can always be polished later — that’s the easy part.
Also, first fanfic?? Of course it’s not going to be perfect. It’s not supposed to be. The important thing is:
You’re writing.
You’re improving.
You’re brave enough to share it.
