I'm working on a story called Fly Away, and I'm really proud of what I have so far, but I'm not going to publish it until it's finished. 

Here's a sneak peak:

It was the surreal feeling of being infinite that drew people in, almost like a calling. It was the air blowing your hair back, the seemingly endless drop, followed by an endless world beyond anything imaginable.

As Scarlett approached the bridge, she stopped to admire it. From far away it was a beautiful masterpiece, but from up close it was an undiscovered maze. She wanted to explore every crease and crevice, every inch of the bridge. It would be easy to get lost in it, but easy to leave, once she allowed herself to face the real world again.

This is where her troubles left her. She truly felt at peace, and it's like her life was never hers. It was just a bad dream. But she knew this was the dream. It couldn't last and she knew it.

After all, she would miss this. It would be one of the only things she would miss when she was gone. Nothing, even the most constant of constants, would last forever.

"Maybe there will be bridges in Heaven?" she thought aloud. Maybe there would be endless bridges for her to explore for eternity. Hadn't the children always been taught that Heaven had something for everyone? God knew what you loved, and He would never take it from you. 

On the bridge it was so easy to pretend life didn't exist. To escape from it and really live. To live for that one single carefree moment, to not have a worry in the world. The moment always ended though. Just like she hoped the pain would eventually end.

I hope you guys are interested. That was just a few bits and pieces of the first chapter. I have so many ideas for this story and I'm so excited. It will be a while before its up, but follow this account (or not) and I'll be sure to send out a message when I put it online.
