What happened was that Liam happened to say "Big love" to the Robertson's family (who are this really homophobic family, Willie Robertson is in duck dynasty, and his father said something really offensive towards the LGBT community). Tyler Oakley (he's a youtuber) said that he was disappointed that Liam had said such a thing, and Liam apparently replied saying he wasn't a real fan. This caused a bunch of controversy, with fans sending death threats to Tyler and hate to Liam.
