I am officially stuck in polishing hell remaking those chapters for The Recovery._.
I have the chapter contents. I have the format. I have the voice I want to use. I literally have the whole action planned out.
And I hate how it all looks.
Too detailed? Bro I want to make the plot go forward, not describe the fucking sky for a third time.
Less details? Looks bare bones, doesn't for my vision exactly.
Do more dialogue? I literally want to cut out some of it, 99% is dialogue and it's too much.
Do less dialogue? I still need em to speak from time to time, not just 'Kion said something about that while Scar responded with other thing'.
I want to remake them to be in a similar style to chapters 15 and 16, as I consider them to be my peak.
Chapters 1-8 are way too empty or are bare bones as fuck, original parts 9 10 and 11 are literally not my work(that's why I remake them), 12 13 14 are eh, could be better, and then I found my actual preferred style for the last two (and the pilot for my other project)._.
Maybe this is all just my very insecure ass having a moment of clarity at 11:33 a night, the stress of the house renovating right now, or the fact that I'm being ghosted by some of my friends for no reason.
Sorry for making you read all of this, but I needed to say it. Gimme a bit more time, maybe I'll put up some actually good (and human made) version of those chapters.
TLDR: Wait like a week for another update, maybe sooner if I decide to actually do something with my life beside lamenting online.

@NoName1111111q Take all the time you need. You have improved so much for chapter 14-15 and I believe you have what it takes to cook. If you need more time? So what? We can wait a bit if it means you cook while not being burdened by the project. You will lose motivation or get a block if you force yourself, take your time. We aren't going anywhere.

@NoName1111111q hey man. You definitely sound stressed out, so here's a piece of advice from a dinosaur for you. Put the writing away for 2-3 days. Don't look at your notes, don't read through the current versions of those chapters, and try to think about your story as little as possible. Right now it's not doing you any good, so it's better to take a break. And that thing where you "have everything ready but hate how it looks?" That's perfectly normal. Annoying, but not uncommon. Thankfully, there's a trick that has helped a lot of writers to push through struggles similar to yours. Once you've cleared your head a bit, don't come back to your previous notes yet. Instead, try to write from scratch - be it an entire chapter or a short scene. Start fresh without feeling like you have to include this plotline and that character etc. Sure, you may (and probably will) forget a detail or two, but the point is to ease your way back into writing. It doesn't need to be perfect right away, so don't put too much pressure on yourself. Art's meant to make you feel fulfilled and excited, to be enjoyed. Write for yourself, first and foremost - especially since you're still learning. Hope this helps :)
