Hey! I'm Nocturnal Pearl!

Why Nocturnal? Because who needs sleep? 3 AM is when I happen to do all my best writing! :D

I'm a film school student, studying to be a screenwriter, so I write a lot of screenplays... but I also LOVE writing prose. In addition to writing middle grade/teen fantasy, I also LOVE fabulism, absurdism and flash fiction. Anthropomorphic things are so fun to write!

Outside of writing, I love reading, baking, watching cartoons, overanalysing cartoons, and photography. I also LOVE all things winter: Skiing, sledding, snowplay, and ESPECIALLY figure skating. When I skate, I feel like a gust of icy wind, floating freely over the tops of the snowy mountains. Lifting, drifting, spinning, unbound by the physics of the earth, just gliding on, and on, forever...

Until I trip on my toepick and faceplant sometimes. Then the wind becomes a rock and suddenly remembers what gravity is.
