Chapter Two of Unbeknownst to you will be up tomorrow evening - here's a preview:
Ben
Maybe downing a 10th shot of tequila was a bad idea because when I first saw the girl at the bar, I saw my ex.
F*****g Eliza. I couldn't get her out of my system.
Everywhere I looked she haunted me. Reminding me that I was never to get over her. That some endings didn't lead to fresh starts.
I winced when I got to the bar, knowing all too well, she frequented the same bars and clubs I did. I put her on to them. Introduced her to my friends, into a world that she thought was cool for that phase of her life.
Anyway, I sucked in a bitter breath, ready to face her when she turned around - it wasn't Eliza.
It was Sia.
Petite and brown-eyed. Sharp and ready to dissect her next victim. A sentiment I wouldn't hate for myself.
Feisty. Definitely my type.
