Been editing the first two chapters of The Pain In Their Eyes, improving my prose and adding some new stuff. Posted an excerpt from chapter 3 to r/Writers on Reddit and got some really good critique!

@F3th3rA It's a pretty huge platform and you can find specific "subreddits" about almost anything. Depending on what kind of person you are it can either be very useful - or a black hole where all your free time goes to die :)

Hey there! Thanks for the follow and for adding "Of Caverns and Casters" to your reading list. We hope you enjoy!

If you're interested in philosophy, science fiction, and stories with themes to them, you might also like our short story collection "This Mockery of Light." No pressure, though. Your bio just made me think it'd be a good fit. (=

          Thanks again, and God bless!

"The archers let loose and arrows rained down at the group of unarmored guards. For any other group of people it would have meant certain death, but these were Seoran High Guards. Ascendant. They avoided the arrows with what looked like casual indifference, only stepping aside at the very last moment, even allowing some arrows to graze their clothing. A symphony of thuds and clanks sounded, as the arrows missed their intended targets and buried themselves deep in wood or bounced off of cobblestones. When the second barrage came, the guards started to move in on the hooded figure at the end of the alley, twirling and stepping lightly around the incoming projectiles, even blocking some using their spears. They seemed like dancers in a choreographed stage play."

Releasing chapter 3 tomorrow! It will finally be delving into the magic system of Seoradel and setting up the rules for how it's going to work. I'll probably need help making it as easy to understand as possible :) (and yes, there will be some exciting action too)
