Writing stories makes your imagination wide, your time well spent and your skills as a writer sharpens. It makes your boring days fun and lonely days gay. As for me, writing is my escape from reality. I am not satisfied with my life as of now. It's full of sorrow, pain and disdain. At least in writing, I can pour out all my hidden emotions through the words and ideas that comes out from my mind. It may not be perfect as others' stories but mine's original and shall we say, comes from the heart.
