I have an idea for a new book; please tell me what you think.
Not-Quite Cinderella:
I have the evil stepmother, the horrid stepsisters, the loving, now-dead father, but I am NOT Cinderella.
My name is Josie Rylee--a senior in high school--and I don't believe in love. It's ridiculous, really; the thought that your true love is out there, waiting to sweep you off your feet. I mean, men are worthless; Prince Charming only exists in fairy tales, right? Well, that's what I believed, anyway. I'm not that popular, in fact, I'm considered the biggest freak in the school. I spend all my free time alone; cleaning, writing, reading, and making music. That's the way I like it, and that's the way it's going to stay. But, obviously, the new badboy, Ryder, has different ideas. If he thinks he can REALLY make me fall in love, he has another thing coming.
My life is pretty good right now; I'm a senior, starting at a new school, all the girls in this new town are throwing themselves at me, and I've got the title of champion for street fighting in the bag. Things are looking up.
I'm Ryder Chance, the badass player. All the girls want me, and all the guys are afraid that they'll be the next to be beaten to a pulp. Everyone knows my name, and I like it that way. I practically FAMOUS, but there is that ONE GIRL who treats me like I'm lower than the dirt on the bottom of her shoe. I'm going to show her just how GREAT I can be, and I swear I'll make her fall in love with me. This'll be easy. Just wait until I've got you, Josie.
